The India International Arbitration Centre (IIAC) has been established through the passage of the India International Arbitration Centre Act, 2019. The IIAC has been set up with the objective of providing a neutral, efficient and cost-effective platform for time-bound alternative settlement of disputes through a seamless arbitration process.

The steady growth of trade and commerce between India and Poland may sometimes lead to business disagreements and commercial disputes. If discussions and reconciliation attempts fail to resolve the issues between the concerned parties, these matters end up in courts in protracted and time-consuming procedures. The mechanism of arbitration serves as an alternative dispute resolution channel to ensure faster out-of-court settlement of disputes.

The India International Arbitration Centre serves as an independent and autonomous institution for handling both domestic and international disputes through arbitration. The Chamber of Arbitration of the IIAC comprises a diverse pool of experienced professionals from India and abroad. There are separate IIAC Panels of Arbitrators for Domestic Arbitration and International Arbitration. The IIAC should be a natural option of choice for all parties who are conducting business in India through their own subsidiaries, in collaboration with global partners or any entity that wants a fair resolution of disputes spanning the areas of trade & investment, commerce, banking, finance, construction, engineering, infrastructure, insurance, oil & gas, shipping & maritime.

The Commercial Officer of the Embassy – Mr. Mohan Lal, Counsellor, email: hoc.warsaw@mea.gov.in) will be happy to provide additional information and/or answer queries on the IIAC and arbitration-related issues.
